Hello Everyone,

I wasn’t intending on writing about God’s faithfulness until recent events in my own personal life. It all started Thursday when I found out that their was some problems at my house, the problems aren’t important, but these events got me pretty upset. It’s not that I was questioning weather or not God was there but I was wondering why all this was going on. I was kind of wondering why this stuff always happens to me.

Then God showed his faithfulness: me and a couple of friends were walking from the Trojancenter to my dorm when I walked into the sports editor for the Tropolitan (the school newspaper that I write for). He asked me if I wanted a scholarship because I’m writing for the paper. It was amazing and an act of God just to let me know he was there. Nick (the editor) and I had never even talked about a scholarship to write. It was God telling me, “I’m here for you, and I always will be.” It’s situations like this that remind me of Romans 8:28 which says,

“And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him”

There is other proof of God’s Faithfulness in scripture. One of the most powerful verses in the Holy Bible to me is John 11:35, “Jesus wept”. Jesus, King of Kings and Lord of Lords, Emmanuel, Messiah, the very one who created us, weeping for us. This verse shows us how much Jesus cares for our every need. It doesn’t say Jesus cried or teared up, it says he wept. The dictonary defines weep like this, “to express grief, sorrow, or any overpowering emotion by shedding tears” That word, “wept”, just goes so much deeper that just a cry, it’s like a hurting soul. Jesus wept because he saw that Many and Martha were weeping.

That’s how Jesus and God are with us, when they see us in pain they too are in pain. Their desire is for us to be happy, and when we are happy God shares our joy, but during times of despair and trials God cares for us so much that he is always there.

So I leave you all with one more verse that is a staple to my faith,

“I will NEVER leave you nor forsake you” -Joshua 1:5

In Christ,

Tim

P.S. If you will please pray for a family member and his son. He is trying to get custody of his son and the mother is giving the son a hard time. Thanks for the prayers.
