I was asked last week what I had learned about God in the past week, and unfortunately I didn’t have an answer. When I didn’t have an answer, God revealed something to me. He revealed to me that I, along with every other Christian, should always be looking to learn from God. This may sound weird to someone who doesn’t spent time with God on a day to day basis, but Jesus through the Holy Sprit speaks to us as Christians. Someone may ask, “How do you know the Holy Spirit is there?”  Jesus said,

“If you love me, you will keep my commandments. And I will ask the Father, and He will give you another Helper, to be with you forever, even the Spirit of truth, whom the world cannot recieve, because it neither sees him nor knows him. You know him, for he dwells with you and will be in you.” -John 14:15-17.

Here Jesus encourages us because His time on earth was drawing near the end. He ensures us that the Holy Sprit will always be with us. Jesus also ensures us that the Holy Sprit will teach us, “for the Holy Spirit will teach you in that very hour what you ought to say,” -Luke 12:12.

My hope is that in the coming weeks I can take what God reveals to me and encourage and motivate other christians out there. And help non-christians understand that Jesus is the Way, the Truth, and the Life, and that no one goes to the Father except through Him.

So first I want to challenge everyone to stay in a constant relationship with Jesus Christ and to seek what the Holy Sprit wants to teach them. And secondly, to ask youself from day to day or from week to week what you have learned from the Holy Spirit.

In Christ,

Tim
