Vision

The Emmaus Student Ministry is a ministry of First Baptist Church, Abbeville, AL.

Through Emmaus, we are seeking to show students in Abbeville and Henry County that Jesus Christ is the only source of satisfaction and eternal life (John 10:10; Acts 4:12).  The Bible teaches us that the way we accomplish this goal is by modeling and communicating God’s Word through a variety of ways (2 Timothy 3:16).  Our goal is to see students nurtured and equipped to burn with passion for Jesus Christ for the rest of their lives–in their careers, families and communities.

Just as in Luke 24 after the two men walked with Jesus and He explained the Word of God to them, so it is our goal to gather around the Word of God so that it will burn in us…
